Responsibilities |
· Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Women’s Team · Designing and implementing an effective S&C programme around:- § Weight training § Speed and agility § Conditioning · Match Day warm up and in field communications · Liaising with medical services regarding player welfare/wellbeing and return to play plans · Monitoring of training loads and feedback to coaching staff · Attendance at Head Coach meetings · Plan and manage training sessions (approx. 6 weekly rotations) · Plan annual/monthly/weekly S&C plan and linkage to Head Coach plan · Sourcing of materials (Gym/Nutritional etc) · Design, implement and deliver education around S&C specified detail – recovery / nutrition / hydration · Management of interns and setting up of work plans and monitoring progress · Management of S&C assistants (Interns) · Maintenance of player S&C records to track progress and assess data · Design and performs baseline tests to assess the skills and weaknesses of each individual player · Attendance to RFL led S&C seminars · Work with S&C team for internal CPD

Essential/Desirable Skills/Attributes |
Essential
· Degree in S&C · Evidenced strength and conditioning experience · Possessing first aid certification · Becoming a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist · Leadership and influencing Skills · Strong Passion and Drive · Minimum of 2 years in a similar role in a Rugby/Team Sports environment · Good Industry Reputation · People management skills · Excellent communication skills · Ability to manage complexity · Ability to work under pressure · Full clean driving licence · UKAD introduction to clean sport qualified · DBS
Desirable 1. UKSCA Accreditation 2. Attendance at UKASCA Conference if required
Travel to other locations required. Late or weekend working may be required |
